LSP wins Codling recruitment contract – reNews
LSP Renewables has been selected to provide recruitment assistance for Ireland’s largest offshore wind project, the 1400 MW Codling Wind Farm.
The recruiting team will provide a range of staff spanning the project lifecycle, which is in the design and development stage.
LSP said it will seek to recruit such staff locally where possible.
The offshore wind project will require more than 1,000 construction jobs and 70 local jobs in the long term.
Division Manager Ashley Harrington said: “We are delighted to support this exciting project to develop Ireland’s largest offshore wind farm.
“LSP has supported the Codling wind farm project for 12 months and looks forward to doing so over the next five years.
“Our business goal is always to provide our clients with the best talent to ensure their projects run smoothly from start to finish.”
Codling Wind Park is located in the Irish Sea, approximately 13-22 km off the east coast of Ireland, between Greystones and Wicklow.
Codling Wind Park Limited (CWPL) is a 50/50 joint venture between Fred Olsen Renewables and EDF Renewables.
Ongoing investigative activities as well as other public consultations will inform the final design, including the number and size of turbines needed to ensure optimization of the renewable electricity produced.
